THE STORY…

QUINAG: THE WISHBONE OF THE HIGHLANDS - Yvette’s story is about one of her most challenging days hiking in the Scottish Highlands. The theme of this piece is how much nature gives to us, and how it's important we protect her. This piece is very personal to Yvette, and it touches on her hope that nature and humans can coexist and be of benefit to each other.

NOTE FROM THE ARTIST

The Scottish Print Collection is extra special as I’ve collaborated with the very talented Scottish Travel Blogger, Yvette Webster, who has written a beautiful story to accompany each print. Each mountain is a limited edition of 50 and presented in an exclusive portfolio sleeve created for the collection (which I’m in love with!)

All prints have been uniquely hand finished with gold and copper paint to give them a warm rich glow - inspired by memories of many early mornings and evenings in the Scottish wilds. It’s important to me that I make my mark on everything I create and that no two prints are the same.

ABOUT YVETTE

Yvette is from New Zealand, but now calls Scotland her home. Over the past few years she’s been on some wild adventures; she’s lived in a van in the Canadian Rockies, worked in the mountains at a ski resort, and hiked the length of Scotland solo. She also grew up on a farm, so nature and the outdoors are very important to her. and she believe adventure is the key to happiness and fulfilment. Whether it’s hiking, snowboarding or simply being in nature- she love being outdoors and going on adventures. Yvette lives in a small village in West Lothian, Scotland, with her husband and dog., Her.Scottish travel blog (Wayfaring Kiwi) inspires people to travel and create amazing memories.
